Escaping Shadows: Have Mercy on Those Who Doubt

When you’re going through doubt, one of the toughest things to do is tell someone that you’re having doubt. You’re afraid they won’t understand, they’ll judge or they’ll quickly dismiss you. So what do you do? You keep it all inside or just sort of drift away from people, at least other Christians. I don’t really want to talk to them about what’s going on.

Escaping Shadows is a series on dealing with doubt.

Escaping Shadows: Doubt Can Be Good

Doubts can obviously be very bad. I know from experience, and you probably do too, the depression and condemnation that that doubting brings. It’s frustrating. But I also believe that certain doubts can be good. There can be such thing as healthy doubts that lead to greater faith.

I Can Do All Things Through Christ

Philippians 4:13. It’s coffee mug quote. It’s tattoo across the chest or your ankle. It’s t-shirt that you clean the house in. It’s twitter bio. It’s thrown around a lot and it’s catchy. (Get it? Thrown around? Catchy? Okay.) In the last installment of the Philippians devotionals, we’re taking a closer look at these words in the context that it was written in to see what these words really mean.

Do You Love God's People?: Philippians Intro

An introduction to the Philippians devotional series on chaseGodtv. A lot of times we hear people use scriptures from the book of Philippians (many times out of context) to promote personal ambitions that are focused me and my interests. “What does this have to do about me?” It’s how we normally read much of the Bible. But I hope in these devotionals we’ll see the Bible, specifically Philippians, directs a lot less attention on ourselves than we usually think.
